Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

A nexus letter is a medical opinion written by a healthcare provider. It explains whether your condition is at least as likely as not (50% or greater chance) related to your military service or another service-connected condition.

No. Nexus letters are based on medical evidence only. The Department of Veterans Affairs makes the final decision on all claims.

No. This service does not include claim help, filing, or strategy. This service does not include telling you what to say or how to complete VA forms. You can work with a VSO, claims agent, or attorney for that.

Not usually. Most nexus letters are written after reviewing your records

It depends on how many records you send and how complex your case is. You will be given a time estimate after your records are reviewed.

Nexus letters take time and skill. They require:

  • Careful review of records
  • Medical knowledge
  • Clear explanation using VA standards

If records are missing, it may:

  • Delaying your case
  • Require more information
  • Leading to your case being declined

All required records must be submitted first.

You may still be able to request a nexus letter, depending on your records and the reason for denial.

Yes. Each condition is reviewed separately and priced per condition.

After you receive your letter, your service is complete. You can submit it to the VA with your claim.
